Yes, the Belvidere Ambulance Corps, Belvidere Fire squad, and Belvidere Police will be on scene in case of emergency.

Do I need to be an experienced runner?

No way!! Many novice runners start with our race due to its laid back atmosphere. This is perfect for beginners and professionals.

What type of terrain is the course?

The course starts and ends on the Belvidere High School Track. There is a small piece where it transitions from track to road where you cross grass and gravel. This is roughly 20 yards of the course. However, the remainder is all paved road.
The Fun Walk will be a 1 mile loop within the high school’s property

What type of elevation will I encounter?

The total elevation for the course is roughly 60ft. Generally, the course is flat. Only two locations have elevations: Prospect Street, over the Pequest River, has an elevation of 40 ft. Race Street to the end of the race is uphill with a 10 ft elevation spread over ¾ of a mile.

Will water be provided?

Yes! During the race, there will be a water station at Courthouse Park. Water bottles will be provided at the end of the race, courtesy of GIBSON’s GYM.

Yes, we love dogs! We are limiting it to dogs for now, but may open it up in the future. WE HAVE A VERY STRONG POOP-SCOOP POLICY. YOU MAY BE ASKED NOT TO BRING A DOG AGAIN IF THIS IS NOT FOLLOWED.

Can I run/jog with a stroller?

Absolutely, feel free to run or jog with your stroller.

How long is the race route?

Can I register with a group?
